I love coming across new planners created by entrepreneurs and designers. With 16 different Myers-Brigg personalities, it is logical many types of planners are needed. It also gives me a new perspective how we can manage and organize our day when I review these planners. I was very fascinated by the Volt Planner (formerly the Spark Planner). This sleek planner was first created by Kate Matsudaira using Kickstart. I love her background story which you can read it on their site. Here is my unbiased Volt Planner Review (this planner was given to me by the company at no cost for this honest review).
Volt Planner Paper and Size
At first touch the paper is very smooth (I love it is rainforest friendly paper) and the black cover is also smooth and very sturdy. The 6″ x 8.5″ size would fit well in large purses or briefcases. The Volt Planner has lay flat binding and two ribbon page markers which is a must for any bound planner I use.
Volt Planner Layout
The layout is a two pages per month and two page vertical week layout. The year and month calendars start on Sunday but the week calendar begins on Monday. The work week days are broken into Morning, Afternoon and Evening.
Unique features of the Volt Planner
What first captured my attention about the Volt Planner was the unique the 30 Day Challenge providing intentional time to reflect, plan and act. The best features on this page is the signature with the tracking dates. This planner is definitely great for those serious on accomplishing their goals.
This planner gives several areas for weekly and monthly journaling which is a wonderful difference from most other planners. Another thoughtful feature is a Review Box on each Weekly Goals page to remind you to review your yearly goals, last week’s progress and other items. Personally I review my Mission Statement every week and I believe spending a few moments on reflection can provide great results.
Other great features
- Year theme and brainstorming page
- Achievements Tracker
- Monthly goals – up to 10
The Volt Planner is perfect for those who prefer a clean and focused planner for accomplishing their goals and planning their days. This is also a great planer for the dreamer and those who want to accomplish many things every week. Also if you wish to add journaling into your life then this planner is a great choice. Those who use bullet journals or traveler’s notebooks may also enjoy the Volt Planner. You can purchase the Volt Planner at their site.
